The best shooter "azure" for thigh muscle injury will miss the Confederations Cup semi-final duel.
Cesare Prandelli coach of Italy found himself in deep trouble before the Confederations Cup semi-final clash with Spain.
"Azure" would have to attack European and world champions without their best striker Mario Balotelli, who was injured in the clash with Brazil in the last round of the group stage.
"The results of medical examinations which were conducted in Fortaleza, show that a violation of the first degree. Balotelli will not be able to play on Thursday against Spain, and we will continue to see," the statement said Football Association of Italy.
Balotelli in the last three games of the tournament in Brazil, scored two goals and his absence will certainly be a big blow for the game against Italy team that set a new record of invincibility.
