Scotland beats Lithuania 3-1 in Euro 2008 qualifier From FoxSports : GLASGOW, Scotland (AP) - Shaun McManus and James McFadden scored second-half goals Saturday to lead Scotland over Lithuania 3-1 in a European Championship qualifying match. Kris Boyd gave Scotland the lead in the 31st minute with a header off a Darren Fletcher free kick, but Tomas Danivelicius equalized in the 61st after Fletcher was whistled for a penalty for bringing down Saulius Mikoliunas. Television replays showed minimal contact between the two players. "It would have been sickening to drop points because of that," Fletcher said. "We've got to be bigger than that and show character and come back from it." Cristiano Ronaldo and substitue Quaresma combined well to make it 2-1. After a great cross from the right, the Manchester United star Ronaldo used his strength and agility to control the ball and then loop it home from close range, despite the attention of his marker. But it was Jacek Kryznowek who was the hero as the Wolfsburg midfielder’s effort proved too hot to handle for Betis keeper Ricardo.
