All about AC Milan

AC Milan about themselves : the first headquarters were established at the 'Fiaschetteria Toscana' on Via Berchet in Milan, back in 1899. From that moment on the glorious history of Milan was born as the club went on to write its name in football's record books to become, especially over the last 15 years, one of the most famous and successful teams in the world. The Rossoneri history is studded with legendary names of men who have made a major contribution to the club's development, be they presidents, coaches or players. The first president was a British expatriate, Alfred Edwards, who oversaw the club's first title - a mere two years after its foundation. The president with the most victories is Silvio Berlusconi who has taken Milan to the pinnacle of the world game since taking control in 1986. A great team needs a great coach and Milan have certainly had their fair share of the richest talent around. The likes of Gipo Viani, Nereo Rocco and Nils Liedholm wer...

Antonio Puerta Tribute

On 25 August 2007, Puerta collapsed and lost consciousness due to a heart attack during Sevilla's first match of the 2007-08 La Liga season at their home stadium Estadio Ramón Sánchez Pizjuán against Getafe.[5] He was seen crouching and then subsequently collapsing upon moving back to his team's goal, after only 35 minutes of the game had passed.[2] His team-mates Ivica Dragutinović, Andrés Palop and a club medical staff were then seen immediately running to his side as he began to lose consciousness. After recovering and being substituted, Puerta collapsed once again in the changing room. He was taken to hospital in an ambulance, where he received cardiopulmonary resuscitation.[6] Doctors reported that his condition had deteriorated since arriving at hospital, and he eventually passed away at the Virgen del Rocio hospital in Seville on 28 August.[7][8] Doctor Francisco Murillo reported that Puerta had suffered multiple organ failure and irreversible brain damage as a result of...

This Is Football

A tribute to football video! Football is the name given to a number of different team sports. The most popular of these world-wide is association football (also known as soccer). The English word "football" is also applied to American football (also known as gridiron), Australian rules football, Canadian football, Gaelic football, rugby football (rugby league and rugby union), and related games. Each of these codes (specific sets of rules, or the games defined by them) is referred to as "football". These games involve: * a large spherical or prolate spheroid ball, which is itself called a football. * a team scoring goals and/or points, by moving the ball to an opposing team's end of the field and either into a goal area, or over a line. * the goal and/or line being defended by the opposing team. * players being required to move the ball mostly by kicking and — in some codes — carrying and/or passing the ball by hand. * goals and/or points resulting fro...
